couple of shout outs today:
- A general surgeon with special interests in GI surgery has mailed me and asked to exchange links. He is from New Delhi. He keeps a blog at Surgery Lounge and maintains a multiple choice question bank at MCQsurgery for students. Would be fantastic if i could visit him and do a few weeks of surgical elective there as well.
- Grand Rounds was hosted at Medical Humanities Blog on Tuesday. my post on House 105 was included.
Do not even get me started on the travesty of House, M.D. (For those unaware, my dissertation is on pain and pain management, and the depictions of the main character vis-a-vis chronic pain are frankly horrifying, but also revealing and quite consistent with the general stigma and attitudes towards chronic pain sufferers). Monash Medical Student reviews the latest episode, for those more favorably disposed.
