Tagged!
Yikes! I’ve been tagged by intraopOrate, and Lixiang (ages ago)
I have hoped to avoid the tag, but 2 have tagged, and its my hols. or study break. so, here is me, being distracted.
The rules
- Post these rules before you give your facts.
- List 8 random facts about yourself.
- At the end of your post, choose (tag) 8 people and list their names, linking to them.
- Leave a comment on their blog, letting them know they’ve been tagged.
8 random facts:
- i am an apple/mac user, but i am not entirely loyal/diehard. (point to prove)
- i squeeze toothpaste out of the center of the tube, but when its getting less, i start to gather them to the top from the bottom
- I drink Berocca almost every morning, and kiwi (that comes in boxes with the spoon/knife)
- i used to train (just a little) to kill people with a variety of assault rifles, semi-automatic weapon, grenade launcher, machine guns, and most proudly, with a light tank.
- some think its karma that now i am learning how to save a life (part 1, part 2)
- i am leaning toward surgery as a career.
- i hope surgexperiences will grow as a blog carnival, and thank all supporters so far! again.
- more importantly, i would like to grow in both knowledge of the Word of God and medicine/surgery.
Well, that was relatively easy.
Passing on the tag:
First, I think I will tag Dr Jon at Unbounded Medicine. I like his blog a lot, always awaiting his posts, sure to be filled with pictures taken at surgery.
2nd, will be Someonetc at Orthopaedic Residency: The Attending Perspective. Discovered this blog through Surgexperiences. He seems very keen in finding out how medical students and residents learn. It’ll be interesting to train under him.
3rd, Dr Rob, from Plastic Surgery 101. I’m not sure if he will respond to this tag, but i hope so. His plastic surgery is informative and gives me an insight to this field.
4. Named: MYTOMMYSHREK.COM, from Springfield, MA, USA. I discovered his blog, this one isn’t easy to find i tell you. He is a surgical resident, and has a personal website and blog. He recenty got married. Congrats.
Cinq. French for five. Dr Space Fan , an ER Associate Consultant from Singapore. She has been going through quite a bit in her personal life, having some unkind remarks hurled her way undeservedly, thr blogging, and who knows even more. Hope she doesn’t give up blogging, just as many of the NUS med students would hope she won’t.
Six. Scapel or Sword, an ER physician from Texas. One of the blogs i frequent too.
Lucky number 7. Supporting Aussie medical students. I pass the tag to Tea at 9:59. previously it was ten. She’s changed Tea at Ten to a private blog, hopefully she can get onto med blogging thr this tag game. Her 1st post on that, is perhaps why she doesn’t like surgery.
The Chinese believe 8 is an auspicious and lucky number. A New Jersey young couple studies medicine in Sydney, Australia. Liz and Darrow keeps this blog to “chronicle [their] journey through med school, marriage, traveling the world, etc.” Hope you don’t mind me tagging you.
Everyone, don’t be angry that i tagged you. It’s all in good fun.

hi! i have a huge exam on mon and tues but i’ll think about doing this tag at some point when i need a study break!
Also, most people take step1 after 2nd yr of med school, but you can really take it whever you want. I think most people take it right after 2nd yr because the farther you get away from that, the more you forget of all the science type stuff like glycolysis etc. Email me if you have any questions.
Tag noted & appreciated.
Dr. Rob
