Ratatouille niçoise, full name of a traditional French Provençal stewed vegetable dish that originated in Nice.

Also made popular and brought more to its attention (incl. the Bay Area food industry, just to name an e.g.) after a Pixar/Disney animated film was released recently.

“The world is at your feet, dream… dream big.”

Ratatouille is a story about family and the ties that bind us to those we love. It is also about friendship and how we learn to trust the people who love us and help us make our dreams come true. Above all, this is a story for and about artists—anyone with a dream of becoming more than who they think they are. Remy is an inspiring everyman with a dream; he is constantly faced with choices; at every turn he has to look at himself and decide what is right and what is not. He’s not perfect, and he often makes mistakes. This is what makes him likable and—dare it say it?—ultimately human. Though he’s urged by his family to play it safe, stay at home, and be like the rest of the pack, Remy decides to give humans like Linguini a chance. At stake is not just his life, but the chance to become Paris’ most celebrated chef. How’s that for a challenge, Bravo?”
- Inquietudes review

As usual, i try to seek a Christian perspective to issues. Browse thr a Christian movie review and comments and think about it, when i am free, but it is inevitable that some glaring issues are brought up in this movie. Those identified by ChristianAnswers include: Food, Cook, Wine, Drunkness, Conscience, Stealing being wrong?

I think a strong theme in this movie is the idea that “anyone can cook”. The dare to dream, dare to try, dare to do attitude. True?

Added 29 Sept: Memorable quote quoted

Django: [showing the exterminator shop to Remy with the dead rats in the window] The world we live in belongs to the enemy, we must live carefully. We look out for our own kind, Remy. When all is said and done, we’re all we’ve got.
[Django starts to walk away]
Remy: [defiantly] No. Dad, I don’t believe it. You’re telling me that the future is - can only be - more of this?
Django: This is the way things are; you can’t change nature.
Remy: Change is nature, Dad. The part that we can influence. And it starts when we decide.
Django: [Remy turns to leave] Where are you going?
Remy: With luck, forward.
