If time were in the xs for me, a MS 2 at Monash, then i probably will delve further into each injury.

These are what i can think of for now.

Common snow sport injuries and relevant anatomy

Musculoskeletal

  • Fractured scaphoid
  • #-ed skull, most worringly of all # of pterion (ant. br. of maxillary art.)

Neuro (not v common but i reckon rather interesting fr a med student pt of view)

  • Trochlear nerve injury (housemate’s experience, could be up in some journal or bulletin of RACGP pretty soon)
  • Spinal cord injury

The list goes on..

Any more, readers?

Or perhaps, any snowboarding/skiing experiences gone awry?

Never been snow boarding, but have skiied. I would think that some of the injuries are similar. You are probably too young to remember that Sonny Bono was killed in a skiing accident (http://www.cnn.com/US/9801/06/bono.obit/index.html)
