church camp and 5% exam
I’m leaving today for Ebenezer BP Church’s Youth Winter Camp up north Melbourne city at Upper Plenty Convention Centre till Friday.
Today will just be settling down, ice breakers (much needed for me to get to know the Aust Born Chinese and the city-based international students, mainly fr Spore), and then the first message by Rev Edward Pauwee. The theme is “Revival”.
More on that when i’m back.
I;ve been studying head anat for the past 3-4 days plus revision of neck anat which i covered when i was back in S’pore.
As for the remaining content that i’ve to cover for this end-of-sem exam (that has been postponed to the first week of my 4th semester at Monash), i will pray to be disciplined to be kept free from all distractions at the camp. You see, i have a period of time after lunch and before dinner to focus, concentrate and study, and revise. We have 2 morning messages (intermitted with a discussion session), and a topical night message by our resident pastor at Ebenzer (Rev Dr LTC Patrick Tan, ex senior pastor of New Life BPC). My view of this 5% exam is that i am studying as much content as possible, and i want to revise them after the exam to lock it into my long term memory. I should have done that already in the 14-week semester 3, but i was not focused all the time, sad to say. But nevertheless, i am making the most of the situation now, staying positive and my goal is not to do well in this 5% exam, but the 20% Vertically Integrated Exam (VIA) at the end of sem 4.
Van will be coming along too, and i pray for a blessed time of fellowship, and a preview of how Melbourne life will be for her. The church community will be crucial if she comes over, (for good), because her family will still be back in S’pore.
Signing off, with a fear of God.
Jeff
