Exam looming ahead + new links added

2007 April 12
by Jeffrey

I will be taking a break from this blog whilst i hit the books and notes for my upcoming mid-semester exam on the 18th of April, next Wednesday.

Methodological, logical, smart, step-by-step. This is my study plan. If not:

MEANWHILE….SOME LINKS ARE ADDED

A few links have been added to my blogroll under the category of “Singapore Sites”.

1. Singapore Association of Monash (SAM)

I am currently serving as the activities officer for 06/07 term. Upcoming activities are Paintball at Echuca, snowboarding/skiing trip at Falls Creek in Aug, whitewater rafting at King River, etc.

2. Mr Brown: L’infantile Terrible of Singapore

Political satirical site to raise awareness or help people see the other side of current affairs in Singapore. Podcasts are extremely entertaining and creative. Special mention by Prime Minister during National Day Rally Speech.

3. Singabloodypore

Social and political issues related to Singapore and the South East Asia region. A blog which attempts to do so in a non-trivial manner treating opposing views with the respect they deserve.

SADLY, ONE HAS TO BE REMOVED…

As much as the addition of links is important, so is the removal of a particular one, with sadness as well. Barbados Butterfly will no longer be featured in the medical blogosphere, something that the community here online has been blogging about much, and we find out the reason here in the Age. (at least what is being released to the public) Barbardos Butterfly says her goodbyes to the medical blogosphere here in Grand Rounds 3.29, hosted by Dr Dork.

This butterfly picture is for you Barb, i have learnt much from your blog articles, and would still hope somehow you could return as a blogger under a different pen name. Your superiors have no idea.

On a lighter note!

My friend Alvin back from Victoria School (an all-boys premier high school in Singapore), has set up a live streaming site on which he will stream great music 24/7. Radio Eclectica is online and running! Enjoy!

UPCOMING

Upcoming posts will talk about the recent Singapore news about rising ministerial pays, means testing in hospitals, and the end of consultation fees regulation for Singapore doctors.

FACT OF THE DAY!

Did you know our Singapore PM, Lee Hsien Loong, earns 5 times the pay of George Bush? Take that!
