Music and lyrics

28 02 2007

It was a Tuesday evening. We had the whole day off since there were no lessons. Caught this excellent romantic comedy at Glen. Recommend it to all.

The official site of “Music and Lyrics”

An excellent soundtrack accompanies this movie, with a smashing old school track “Pop! goes my heart”.

The other one would be “Way back into love”. I’m kinda confused who is the female singer for this track. Hugh Grant definitely put in a fantastic performance, with his soothing and sexy vocals. Whoever sang the female vocals was excellent too.

Catch it at cinemas near you.

It’s time to head back to the books - its cardiology physiology and anatomy for now. :)

That depends on what version of the song from the soundtrack you listen to, but they’re both taken straight from the movie. So the demo version on the soundtrack is, in fact, Drew Barrymore (who played Sophie Fisher). The other one is the one pulled from the concert, which is with Haley Bennett (who played Cora Corman).

This was Haley Bennett’s debut film, and she’s signed on to do many more. Likewise, several songs for the Music & Lyrics soundtrack, including “Slam,” “Way Back Into Love,” “Entering Bootytown,” and “Buddha’s Delight,” were the debut into her musical career. She recently signed with 550 Music/NuSound Records (part of the Epic Records family of labels), and is working on her first album with the aid of singer/songwriter Shaley Scott.

Hope this helps, glad you liked the movie.

To The You,
Walker Pennington.
